The Wharton Generative AI Studio is a year-long, in-person program offered by Wharton Generative AI Labs. Through weekly studio sessions, collaborative critiques, mentorship, and hands-on experimentation, participants develop practical skills in AI, design, and creative problem-solving while building projects that explore the frontiers of generative AI. 

The AI Studio is open to full-time, matriculated University of Pennsylvania graduate and professional students from any discipline who are curious about generative AI and eager to pursue an original project—no coding experience is required. 

Applicants are asked to submit a resume, cover letter, project proposal, and one to three work samples demonstrating their creative process and interest in generative AI. Selection is based on creativity, curiosity, and the potential of the proposed project, rather than technical background. 

Applications will be accepted from August 1st, 2026 until August 17th, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET. Applicants will be notified of their outcomes on August 28th, 2026.
